THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You said it all. Did I say Thank You. I was here 4 months last year from tampa fl. Clearchannel rules the radio there and it sucks. When i came here and heard the river I was calling my friends telling them how cool the river was. So I moved here this year in march, tuned in and tuned out. I was so disapointed and still am. The average age in Raliegh is 34 and the average age of the music the new river plays is the same age. I really cant understand with all the colleges and young people why we are stuck with such crap radio. We need to start are own station. Bring in sponsers/stars and concerts. This city is lame and needs some enlightlenment. Hey did ya go and see Rush.....Or ...Skinard......Or.......Marshall Tucker......give me a break....Mabe 20 years ago......Lets bring in something fresh. There are more young people in Raliegh than tampa and there was way more going on. Thanks again, mabe somthing will change soon. I emailed 100.7 the new river and made my point as well.

Comment on Loving the Alien: The Rise and Fall of David Bowie and his God-like Genius by Thin-White-Duke

Bowie is God, fair enough he's made a few dud albums but has always had a single in them to save them.
Remember the Beatles were not perfect 'Yellow Submarine' is far worse than any of Bowie's numbers, anyways his 'Bad' albums tend to influence underground acts in fact, he's made more money than most do in a lifetime through
covers of his songs.

Writer's vomit is correct...were you trying to use all your words for the day in this one article?

Lucky wrote everything I wanted to say. You are bashing a band that many people, myself included, LOVE and relate to.
I am 33 and a mother to a teenager (who I took to this concert.) MCR is very responsible in dealing with their impressionable fan base. Before the song "Teenagers" Gerard Way said basically that even though life can really suck sometimes, it is NEVER a reason to harm yourself or others. I really respected that.

Are you kidding me? I understand that you are intitled to your opinion, but I am here to say that it sucks.

First of all, MCR is not EMO, second of all, if you stop and listen to the lyrics you will understand that their music is about the way the world is today. One of the songs is about his grandmother and how she passed away. Cancer was dedicated to a little girl named Crystal that has cancer.

Wake up and stop being so judgemental. This is a good band and they have respect for their fans. If they didn't, they wouldn't take the time to visit with them while they are packing up, nor would the lead singer stop the concert to tell the jerks in the pit to help someone up when they fall.

What about when the lead singer talked to the crowd about depression and not to hurt themselves, or talk to them about violence???????

Emo????? I think not. I think you have a lot of balls to put down a band without doing your homework.

I am curious to know if you know anything about Pink Floyd?? Do you have ugly things to say about them??? Because whether you want to believe it or not, MCR is picking up where Pink Floyd left off.

Deal with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now you got the wrath of my opinion.

Take care,
Lucky
